We’re a foundation repair company built specifically around the conditions of coastal southeastern North Carolina — sandy and mixed coastal soils, the persistently high water table near the Cape Fear River and the Intracoastal, hurricane exposure, salt-air corrosion, and the wide mix of housing stock that runs from 1840s antebellum homes in the Historic District to brand-new slab construction in Brunswick Forest.
This isn’t a national franchise. We don’t apply boilerplate solutions developed for Texas expansive clay or Midwestern frost zones to the very different coastal conditions here. We apply solutions developed by working on homes across New Hanover, Brunswick, and Pender counties, in every condition the Cape Fear coast can throw at a foundation.
What We Believe
Free inspections should actually be free. No hidden fees, no high-pressure follow-up, no inflated quotes for problems that don’t exist. If we determine your foundation is fine, we tell you that and we leave. Most “free inspection” offerings in this industry exist to put a salesperson in your home. Ours exist to give you accurate information about a major asset.
Honest written reports. Every inspection produces a written report with photographs of any issues we find. The report distinguishes between problems that need attention now, problems to monitor, and observations that aren’t actually problems. You should be able to make an informed decision based on the report, even if you don’t hire us for the work.
Coastal-grade materials, every time. Anything metal we install in a Wilmington crawl space or near the ocean is galvanized or stainless. Anything wood is marine-grade pressure treated. Standard inland materials don’t survive a year in this climate, and we won’t install them on your home.
Transferable lifetime warranties on pier installations. When you sell your home, the warranty transfers to the new owner. This protects you and adds documented value in Wilmington’s competitive coastal real estate market.
Respect for historic homes. When we work on a Historic District Italianate or a Forest Hills bungalow, we’re working on a building that has stood through Hazel, Floyd, Florence, and a dozen other storms. Our job is to repair the original work — carefully, with appropriate materials and methods — not redesign it.
Real local presence. We answer the phone. We show up when we say we will. We’re staffed by people who live in Wilmington, Leland, Hampstead, and the surrounding communities, who hunkered down through Florence the same way you did, whose kids might go to the same schools as yours.
